Indo Uzbekistan Film & Cultural Forum

In May 2018, His Excellency Farhod Arziev inaugurated the Forum and designated Dr. Sandeep Marwah as its Chair. Dr. Marwah spearheaded a delegation from India to Uzbekistan, engaging in productive discussions with the Ministry of Cinema, Art, and Culture, H.E. Vinod Kumar (Ambassador of India to Uzbekistan), as well as Film, Television, and Media companies of Uzbekistan. The discussions encompassed diverse facets such as student exchange programs, proposals for film festivals, and plans for an award function. In parallel, ICMEI orchestrated a tourism summit, complemented by the announcement of a scholarship for a meritorious candidate from Uzbekistan, facilitating their enrollment in a course at the Asian Academy of Film and Television. This collaborative endeavor serves as a testament to the Forum's commitment to promoting cultural, cinematic, and educational ties between India and Uzbekistan.
