In an extraordinary accolade, Prof. Sandeep Marwah, the luminary President of ICMEI and a globally acclaimed media personality, was accorded the prestigious title of a "Champion of Wales." This exceptional recognition, signifying his stellar accomplishments and determined commitment to Wales, was personally conveyed by the esteemed First Deputy Minister of Wales, Hon’ble Leuan Wyn Jones, during his visit to India in November 2007. The rare honor had been bestowed by the First Minister of Wales, Hon’ble Rhodri Morgan AM/AC, underscoring Marwah's indomitable spirit and international standing. Adding to this resounding acknowledgment, Hon’ble Rob Thomas, the Head of Creative Business of the Welsh Assembly Government, expressed his pleasure in issuing a certificate of "Outstanding Contribution to Creative Industries" to Prof. Sandeep Marwah in January of the same year.
